with feet in ground
roots amassed
a distant gaze
draws in a peace
spirit in freedom
with the universe
a potent space
betwixt our presence
magnetic warmth
with energies meshed
a mango spread
afloat the skies
standing still with scars exposed
with depths unveiled, marred and frail
fingers strum my truths in Braille
nudity bares soul
light sets precedence to cure
fragrance of healing.

[Cherita poetry is a six line narrative poem made up of three separate strophes. In this poem, I used a single line, a rhyming couplet and a haiku (tercet).]
Failed
Trust
Monsters
Revisit
Wan look, raunchy breath
Bloodied shards of teeth, razor sharp
Scared with guts churning doubt; another season of fears.
