Emergency Room (Decasyllabic Quatrain)


a room filled with anxiety contained

and pungency of ailment and disease

with worry-filled eyes that scream out their pain

for prayers of healing, to keep them at ease.

    • Yes and No. I was not there as a patient. I was there because I work in a hospital.

      Last night, I worked until midnight and created this poem after observing the patients in the waiting room. I hope you like. 🙂
