Affliction (Triolet)

Standard

How grand this grief of loss!

splintered in the fragments of hollow

with pain, the soul’s embossed

How grand this grief of loss!

The reek of agony spread across

in every cell and lonliness to follow

How grand this grief of loss!

splintered in the fragments of hollow.

  1. “How grand this grief of loss!

    – There is something rather wonderful about that repetition. My grandmother often says certain things twice at the end of a sentence. She speaks like poetry. I began to observe when she does and when she does not repeat something and realise that it is not at all random. She does in instinctively and yet it works every time.
    – Great image as well.
