Cinder (Tanka)

Standard

My limbs have grown weak

mounted passions laid to rest

through lackluster nights

as heaven’s throat becalms me

I smell the smoldered embers.

Lovely, lovely work, Liza. Though this is a tanka, I especially enjoy your haiku and believe you have a gift from the Father in that particular verse form. I wish to thank you so much for visiting my haiku site and for “liking” what I do. I am now a follower of your blog and look forward to the fruit of your mind and spirit. May you be richly blessed!!

I, too, look forward to reading more of your work.
      Stay blessed.
